Tom has held various roles across Barclays over the last 18 years, working across all areas of Marketing.
Currently responsible for Sponsorship and Media across the Group, Tom and his team were the driving force behind Barclays historic sponsorship of the Barclays Womenโs Super League, marking the single biggest investment in Womenโs sport by a brand in Europe. In 2023, Barclays also became the Official Banking Partner of Wimbledon, securing branding rights across all 18 Umpire Chairs, a position that hasnโt been available for over 70 years.
Alongside this, Tom is responsible for the management and activation of the Premier League, of which Barclays is the Official Banking Partner, music festivals and 02 Academies and the Arts, with lead sponsorships of Sadlerโs Wells and the Donmar.
In addition to Sponsorship, Tom oversees Barclays global approach to media planning and buying. In 2019 he developed and implemented the most progressive media agency contract in the industry, paving the way for a renewed approach to transparent media partnerships.
Prior to this role, Tom was located in Johannesburg, South Africa. As the Head of Marketing, covering the twelve countries in which Barclays operated outside of RSA, Tom was responsible for all brand, marketing, events and sponsorship activity. Following this role he moved to be the Chief Operating Officer for the African Corporate Relations function.
