Sergio Dompé

Sergio Dompé is an entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology and Chairman of the Dompé biopharmaceutical group, dedicated to the development of innovative therapeutic solutions for rare diseases.

He has been awarded honorary degrees in Biotechnology with a pharmaceutical focus (Bologna, 1996), Medical Biotechnology (L’Aquila, 2005) and Pharmacy (Urbino, 2010). Among the first in Italy to realize the value of biotechnology applied to human health, he has developed a dense network of collaborations with the most significant research centers in the pathologies in Dompé’s therapeutic areas.

In 2017, he financed and started Movendo Technology, an innovative medical company founded by the Italian Institute of Technology to develop advanced technologies serving human and products in motor rehabilitation.

In 2004 he was awarded the “Lombardy for Work” prize, which recognizes the value of the region’s most innovative entrepreneurs.

In 2016 he was honored with an award from the Foundation Aid for Research in Rare Diseases (A.R.M.R.), awarded to those who stand out for their commitment to research. In 2017 he was awarded the Guido Carli Prize.
