Samaila Zubairu

Samaila Zubairu is a seasoned infrastructure development finance expert with 29 years of professional experience. He was previously the CEO of Africapital Management Limited, where he established a joint venture to develop the Nigerian Infrastructure Investment Fund 1 (NIIF1) for infrastructure private equity in West Africa. Samaila also served as the pioneer CFO of Dangote Cement Plc, where he managed the launch of Africa’s largest syndicated project finance facility and the unbundling of Dangote Industries Limited to listed subsidiaries on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Throughout his career, Samaila has successfully led finance transactions worth over $3 billion, including green-field project finance facilities, acquisitions, corporate transformations, privatizations, and equity capital market transactions. He is a distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a highly accomplished professional in his field.
