Rashid Al Salmi is the visionary Founder of Sulmi, fueled by an unwavering passion for Technology & Engineering. With a rich tapestry of 16 years in the Automotive industry, Rashid embarked on a transformative journey in 2017, leaving his position at the Emirates Post Group to pioneer his path in the manufacturing industry.

In 2007, he commenced his voyage in the automotive world, culminating in the mastery of developing Ford vehicles. Notably, in 2019, Rashid founded Sulmi as an R&D division, which evolved in 2021 to focus on creating an all-electric motorbike. This groundbreaking project, with its design and engineering rooted in the UAE, marked its debut as the inaugural product in 2023 at Sharjah SRTIP.

Rashid’s career has been a testament to his commitment to positioning the region as a manufacturing and industrial powerhouse. He envisions the UAE at the forefront of this industrial revolution.

Beyond his professional commitments, Rashid finds solace in reading and road biking. However, his true passion lies in researching transformative technologies that promise to make the world a better place. Additionally, he cherishes quality time with his son.
