Natasha Turak is CNBCโs correspondent covering the Middle East, based out of Dubai. She covers everything from geopolitics, wars, and weapons sales to energy, emerging markets, and elections.
Beyond the region, she also has spent time covering the Ukraine-Russia war and U.S. foreign policy. Natasha has covered key events like the evolution of the Iranian nuclear deal, attacks on Saudi oil facilities and Red Sea shipping, the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Israel-Hamas war.
Before joining CNBC, Natasha reported for the Financial Times in London and Tunisia Live in Tunis. She has lived in eight countries including Tunisia, Egypt, the UAE, the U.K., and Russia.
Originally from Washington, D.C., she graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland with an MA in Middle Eastern studies and political science, and speaks French and intermediate Arabic.
