Javier Tebas

Javier Tebas Medrano is a Spanish-Costa Rican football president and the current president of Liga de Fútbol Profesional. He has served as the president of SD Huesca and three terms as Vice-President of LFP. In 2001, he was elected Vice President of LaLiga and, in 2003, became representative of the G-30, a group of 30 lower-income LaLiga clubs that negotiated their audiovisual rights. Since 2013, Tebas has been the President of LaLiga, focusing on economic oversight, centralized sale of audiovisual rights, and internationalization strategy. His presidency successfully controlled the finances of Spanish professional football, centralized audiovisual rights sale, and internationalized LaLiga to more than 178 countries. Tebas also lectures on various businesses and sports disciplines.
