Valentino Valentini was born in Bologna, Italy on June 28, 1962. After graduating in modern languages and working as a professional interpreter in 1987 he was recruited by the European Parliament in Brussels.
He later took a masterโs degree in Business Administration and in 1999 he was hired by the Italian Businessman and Party Leader, Silvio Berlusconi as executive assistant for political and international affairs.
In 2001 Mr Valentini was appointed Head of the Office of the Prime Minister, and Foreign Relations Special Adviser.
Mr Valentini was first elected to the Lower House of Parliament in 2006 where he served in the European Affairs Committee. Having then being elected to Lower House of Parliament for a second time in 2008, he was asked nonetheless to keep his previous responsibility as Foreign Relations Special Adviser to the Prime Minister.
In 2013 he was re-elected and served on the European Affairs Committee and the Italian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
After the 2018 elections, he became group leader of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lower House of Parliament. At the same time, he served as Advisor for International Relations to the President of the Senate and since 2020 he has been Deputy Group Leader of the Lower House of Parliament.
Since October 31, 2022, he has been Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy.
