Areas of activities and duties of the Vice-Minister Simonas Šatūnas

Oversees the shaping and implementing of the European Union policy, supervises the development of relations with the EU institutions.
Oversees the expansion of ties with European countries.
Supervises the preparation for Lithuania’s Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Oversees Lithuania’s foreign trade policy and participation in international economic organizations.
Is responsible for the coordination of the implementation of international sanctions.
Oversees the deepening of Lithuania’s development cooperation and the provision of humanitarian aid.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Foreign Minister.
