Mr. Ryad Mezzour was born in 1971 in Rabat.
He graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 1996.
Mr. Ryad Mezzour began his professional career in Switzerland as a Research & Development engineer with the ABB Group, before joining the Deloitte firm as a strategy consultant.
Back in Morocco in 2003, Mr. Ryad Mezzour successively held the positions of General Manager of Budget Morocco, Director at the Socieฬteฬ des Fonderies de Plomb de Zellidja and General Manager of Suzuki Morocco.
From 2013, Mr Ryad Mezzour was Chief of Staff of the President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council, before joining the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy in 2019 as Chief of Staff of Minister Moulay Hafid Elalamy.
His Majesty King Mohammed VI, May God assist him, appointed Mr Ryad Mezzour on October 7, 2021, Minister of Industry and Trade,
Active in the economic and social sphere, Mr. Ryad Mezzour was Vice President of the Green Economy Commission at the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) between 2012 and 2015 and is a member of the board of several non-profit institutions.
Mr Ryad Mezzour is married and has two children.
