H.E. Piyush Goyal is the Minister of Commerce & Industry, Republic of India. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha and is the former Minister of Railways and Coal. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has been a Member of the National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party since 2000. He has held several important positions in the Government of India, including as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines from 2014 to 2017. He has also served as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance in the 16th Lok Sabha. He is a strong advocate of the Make in India initiative and has been instrumental in the development of the Indian economy. He is a firm believer in the power of technology and innovation to drive economic growth and development.
