H.E. Mariam Almheiri

H.E. Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Almheiri currently serves as Minister of Climate Change and Environment in the United Arab Emirates. She was appointed to this position in 2019. Prior to her appointment as Minister, Almheiri served as Assistant Undersecretary for Water Resources and Nature Conservation Affairs at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. She has also held positions in the UAE government, including the Ministry of Food Security.
Almheiri has been recognized for her work in promoting sustainability and environmental protection. In 2020, she was awarded the Zayed Sustainability Prize for her efforts to promote sustainable development in the UAE.
