H.E. Laura Khazen Lahoud

Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Lebanon

Laura El Khazen Lahoud is the Minister of Tourism in Lebanon. In her role, she is focused on revitalizing Lebanon’s tourism sector, attracting investment, and promoting the country as a global destination by leveraging its rich cultural heritage and world-renowned hospitality.

Alongside her government position, Laura remains deeply involved in Lebanon’s hospitality and cultural sectors. She continues to serve as Executive Director of the Al Bustan Hotel, where she oversees daily operations, strategic planning, and financial management to maintain the hotel’s reputation as a premier luxury destination. She is also the Executive Vice President of the Al Bustan International Festival, leading the planning and execution of the prestigious annual event that brings together world-class musicians and performers to celebrate Lebanon’s artistic heritage.

Beyond hospitality and culture, Laura has extensive experience in business leadership. She is a Board Member at C.A.T. Group, a multinational contracting and trading company, where she provides strategic guidance and oversight on corporate operations. Laura studied Mathematics at Chelsea College, University of London, and went on to complete an MSc in Mathematics and Operational Research at the London School of Economics (LSE).

She is fluent in English, French, and Arabic, and is passionate about promoting Lebanon’s tourism potential through innovation and cultural diplomacy.

Laura is married to Samir Lahoud, and they have three sons.
