H.E. Alia bint Abdulla Al Mazrouei

Appointed as the Minister of State for Entrepreneurship in July 2024.

With a distinguished career that bridges entrepreneurship and public service, H.E. Al Mazrouei has made significant contributions to both the private and government sectors. She has held several prominent positions within leading government institutions, demonstrating her commitment to the development of the entrepreneurial landscape in the UAE. As the Chief Executive Officer of the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, she played a pivotal role in promoting entrepreneurship and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises across the nation.

Her previous roles include serving as an Advisor to the Chairman at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and as the Director General of the Human Resources Authority in Abu Dhabi. Additionally, she held the position of Director General at the Abu Dhabi School of Government, where she was instrumental in advancing educational initiatives.

Before her tenure in government, H.E. Al Mazrouei was the Group Chief Operating Officer at Mazrui International LLC, her family-owned conglomerate with a legacy of 50 years in Abu Dhabi, showcasing her deep-rooted experience in the business sector.

H.E. Al Mazrouei’s outstanding contributions have earned her recognition on multiple platforms. In 2013, she was honored with the Arab Women’s Award for Entrepreneurship, and in 2014, she was ranked as the twenty-sixth most powerful Arab woman by Forbes Middle East.

Her remarkable achievements continued in 2017, when she was included in Forbes’ list of the world’s 100 most powerful Arab businesswomen.

She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems from the United Arab Emirates University in 2001, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Global Leadership from the same esteemed institution in 2005.
