Edmondo Cirielli

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic

Edmondo Cirielli is a Brigadier General of the Carabinieri Auxiliary Corps and has a degree in Law from the University of Parma, Political Science from the University of Salerno, and Internal and External Security Sciences from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
Furthermore, from a political standpoint, he was a candidate for the Chamber of Deputies. In 1995, he was elected Regional Councilor of Campania. In 2001, he was elected Member of the parliament, Member and Chairman of the Justice Committee and later Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. In 2009, he was elected President of the Province of Salerno for the center-right coalition. In 2018, he was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies, and in the XVIII Legislature, he was elected Questor of the Chamber of Deputies, and then in 2022, he was re-elected to the Chamber of Deputies with center-right coalition. In the current Legislature, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
