He began his career at the University of Bristol where he received awards for his work with adenosine blockers in cancer immunotherapy. He then went on to work at GlaxoSmithKline, where he received recognition for his contributions to asthma research. Deniz completed a PhD in Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine at King’s College London, where he co-discovered a new human liver stem cell population and conducted the first high throughput small molecule screen using IPS-derived hepatocytes. During his PhD, he conceived the idea for Prolific Machines, and after three years of searching for the right co-founders, he convinced Declan and Max to join him in starting the company.
