Caroline Abramo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pana Low Carbon Economy Investments (โPana LCEโ or โPanaโ) investments, a majority women-owned, emerging ESG manager focused on LCE. Ms. Abramo is responsible for managing Pana LCEโs platform which includes the Pana LCE Fund I, Pana SMA Platform, and Panaโs Sub-Advisory and Advisory segments. Ms. Abramo leads the firm in establishing relationships with companies that share Panaโs values of sustainability, integrity, diversity, and passion.
Ms. Abramo is an experienced and well-regarded leader in commodities, infrastructure, and investments, with over 30 years of industry experience. Ms. Abramo has an extensive knowledge of real assets having completed the commercialization of cutting-edge commodity technologies of many large-scale projects in her career. Prior to Pana, Ms. Abramo served as portfolio manager for Lazard Asset Managementโs Real Assets Portfolio (Ticker: RALIX) and Lazardโs Commodities Fund (Ticker: COMDO) (Ticker: COMDO). The Lazard Real Assets Portfolio included over 300 public companies across real estate, infrastructure, and commodities. Through years of working with senior management teams, Ms. Abramo has cultivated unparalleled relationships with the leading companies in the real assets space.
Ms. Abramoโs lifelong sustainability and impact work has included being one of the early pioneers of ESG metrics and the reduction of GHG emissions and arranging private equity financing for the earliest โgreen companies.โ Ms. Abramo founded Pana Advisory in 2011, and has advised and invested in several green companies and platforms. Through Pana Advisory, Ms. Abramo secured an exclusive engagement with Carlyle which allowed her to arrange financing for Freepoint Commodities and Metallica Commodities. Ms. Abramo is an equity owner in Kimura Capital, a private ESG and sustainable trade finance syndication platform launched in 2016.
Ms. Abramo graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Business Administration and Management. Ms. Abramo is an angel and volunteer for 100 Women in Finance, a global network of professionals in the finance and alternative investment industries working together to empower women at every stage of their careers. Ms. Abramo is a yoga enthusiast and lives in New York City with her husband and son.
