Ariane de Rothschild was born in San Salvador. She spent her youth in Latin America, Europe, and Africa. She began her career in New York on the trading floor of Sociรฉtรฉ Gรฉnรฉrale.
In 1997, she took charge of her family’s non-banking activities. She brought them together under the Edmond de Rothschild Heritage brand, modernizing and significantly developing the wine and hospitality activities while staying true to their tradition.
She transformed the family philanthropic activities and developed the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation in Caesarea, Israel, turning the Ophthalmic Foundation Hospital into a world-renowned leader in “head and neck” medicine.
In 2000, along with Benjamin de Rothschild, she founded the first professional offshore racing team, the Gitana Team, a cutting-edge crew that has since won every major offshore race.
In 2006, Ariane de Rothschild joined the board of Edmond de Rothschild Holding, and since 2013, she has transformed the familyโs banking activities by consolidating them under a single brand: Edmond de Rothschild. Under her leadership, Edmond de Rothschild has changed dimension, establishing itself as a 100% family-owned investment house, achieving economic success and a profound cultural transformation.
Since 2023, she has been the CEO of Edmond de Rothschild.
