Omar Al Fahim is the Vice President - Business Development & Account Management at Dubai Silicon Oasis, where he leads the attraction and aftercare of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for multinational corporations, high-impact SMEs, and innovative companies. He drives the strategic vision of the economic zone, positioning DSO as a global hub for technology, research, and innovation, while overseeing sales operations and shaping the ecosystem’s growth, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness.

With over 17 years at Dubai Silicon Oasis, Omar has played a pivotal role in advancing its position as a catalyst for emerging technologies. He works closely with government entities, global corporations, and innovators in sectors such as AI, robotics, drones, and advanced manufacturing, forging strategic partnerships and public-private collaborations that strengthen Dubai’s leadership in the global technology landscape.

Omar began his journey at Dubai Silicon Oasis in 2007 as an Executive Business Analyst, contributing to cross-departmental knowledge transfer and operational improvements. In 2015, he was appointed to lead the Business Development Department, overseeing strategic initiatives across the commercial unit and representing DSO in Free Zone Council matters. His contributions to the Dubai D33 Economic Agenda and Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040 have further reinforced DSO’s role in shaping Dubai’s innovation-driven economy.

Omar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University of Dubai and an Executive MBA from Georgetown University. He is also an alumnus of the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government’s Future Leaders Program and completed the Economic Leadership Program through the Executive Office. His expertise spans business strategy, ecosystem development, and feasibility studies, enabling him to deliver measurable impact and unlock growth opportunities for companies entering Dubai’s innovation economy.
