Hugo Doyle

Head of International Public Affairs

I graduated with honors in Economics from Bocconi University, Milan and earned a MSc in Finance at the University of London in 1994 (best student award). Winner of the Castellini Baldissera scholarship for graduate studies.

I run International Public Affairs at Intesa Sanpaolo, overseeing relations with governments, multilateral actors and think tanks, and with public entities engaged in Italy’s internationalization efforts, together with focusing on international regulatory matters and geopolitical trends that are relevant to the bank.

My previous roles included being the head of research of Intesa Sanpaolo’s London branch (regularly contributing to financial news circuits as Reuters, Bloomberg, Market News…), working in Corporate Treasury at Morgan Stanley and in the European Equities Department at S.G. Warburg.

At Intesa Sanpaolo I have also acted as aide to the Executive Vice Chairman in his mandate to develop the international agenda of the bank.

I am part of the B20 Task Force on Finance & Infrastructure, the BIAC -OECD Task Force on Finance and I sit on the Board of Directors of Istituto Affari Internazionali; I also sit on the boards of various bilateral chambers of commerce and trade & investment associations.
