Mr Gregory Yu joined HKEX as Managing Director and Head of Markets in March 2025.
In his role, Mr Yu oversees the development of HKEX’s Markets function, helping drive the vibrancy and depth of HKEX’s equities, derivatives, and fixed-income and currencies franchises. He is a member of the Group’s Management Committee.
Mr Yu has over 25 years of capital markets and financial services experience. He previously held senior positions at JP Morgan in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and was most recently General Manager and Head of Equities at JP Morgan Securities (China) Company in Shanghai. Prior to this, Mr Yu served as JP Morgan’s Head of Structuring and Head of Equity Derivatives Sales & Marketing for Asia Pacific. He started his career in New York with Salomon Smith Barney, and later worked at Zurich Capital Markets, as well as at BNP Paribas in New York and Hong Kong.
Mr Yu has a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and applied economics from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and is a Cornell University Council Member.
