Cliff is Managing Partner of ewpartners, a private equity firm focusing on
investments in Asian business expansion to Middle East region. From 2012 to 2023,
Cliff was Partner at HOPU Investments, a top private equity firm focusing on China
growth and buy-out investment opportunities. During that period, he co-founded CMH
Healthcare Investments, a healthcare investment fund co-sponsored by HOPU
Investments, China Resources and Mitsui.
From 2008 – 2012, Cliff was the Managing Director and Head of Finance Department
of China Investments Corporation (CIC), a China sovereign wealth fund. He was a
member of CIC’s risk management committee and an observer of its investment
committee. Prior to CIC, Cliff was a Partner of KPMG Transaction Services Practice
in Beijing.
