T K Kurien

T.K. Kurien (TK) is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner at Premji Invest, one of India's first and largest professionally run private family offices. Since he joined in 2017, the firm’s assets under management have expanded more than fivefold.

Originally created by Wipro Ltd. Founder-Chairman Azim Premji, Premji Invest has evolved under TK's leadership to make investments that nurture entrepreneurship and back emerging, disruptive technologies. Today, the firm strategically deploys capital in India's public markets and backs high-growth private companies across India and the US. The returns generated from these investments uniquely position Premji Invest to support the philanthropic initiatives of the Azim Premji Foundation in perpetuity.

Prior to Premji Invest, TK served as Vice Chairman and CEO of Wipro Ltd., where he was instrumental in scaling multiple successful divisions. His earlier career included roles as Managing Director of GE X-Ray and CFO of GE Medical Systems for South Asia.

In 2014, TK received the UN’s Women’s Empowerment Principles Leadership Award and was honored by the American India Foundation for his corporate and philanthropic leadership.

A Chartered Accountant by training with over 30 years of experience, he serves on the boards of SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd., Wipro Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., and Wipro G.E. Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. He is also a highly regarded speaker, holds several technology patents, and is an avid runner.
