H.E. Amer Bisat is Lebanon’s Minister of Economy and Trade and a distinguished economist with more than three decades of experience in global financial markets, economic policy, and academia.
Prior to joining the government, he served as Global Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income at BlackRock, and previously held senior positions at the International Monetary Fund, Morgan Stanley, and UBS. He has taught economics at Columbia University and authored influential work on globalization and economic development.
Minister Bisat holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the American University of Beirut and a PhD in economics from Columbia University.
